Bacon and Cabbage
Serves: 1
Modified from Darina Allen's recipe in Irish Traditional Cooking page 119.
  • 4 sliced Canadian bacon
  • ¼ head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 TBSP butter
  • no salt seasoning
  • pepper
  • optional one egg
  1. In a skillet over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the chopped cabbage, no salt seasoning and pepper.
  3. Sautee until cabbage becomes tender.
  4. Place the four slices of Canadian bacon in the pan with the cabbage.
  5. Cook until the bacon is done.
  6. Option - cook an egg to your liking and pair it with the cabbage and bacon.
