Anytime Couscous
Serves: 1
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • ¼ c couscous
  • ½ c chicken stock
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic powder
  • cayenne pepper or Cajun seasoning
  • 3 tbsp Parmesan cheese
  • ½ c 2% cheddar cheese
  • ½ tbsp milk of your choice
  • 1 egg
  • sriracha (optional)
  • non stick pan
  1. Heat the olive oil in a medium sized sauce pan over medium heat.
  2. Add your dry couscous.
  3. Using a wooden spoon stir the couscous and toast until golden brown; about 3-4 minutes.
  4. In same pan add the chicken broth, dash of salt, dash of pepper - to your taste.
  5. Then add the garlic powder and cayenne pepper to your tastes.
  6. While the couscous is cooking prepare your egg to your desired preference.
  7. When the couscous is done add the cheeses and milk.
  8. Stir well.
  9. Plate and then add your egg.
